BIOGRAPHY
Arthur was a centreman and half-back. The early part of his career was interrupted due to a broken shoulder in his third senior game.
There was high expectations for him for the 1913 season - where he "appears more fit than any of the other players. He was in great nick and and ran and kicked in great style."
He later served in the A.I.F. from 1915 until 1919, in the 4th Artillery Brigade. He also won the Regimental Middleweight Boxing Championship. Arthur later coached junior sides in the Preston area.
