BIOGRAPHY
Bill played in either key-forward or defence positions during his career. He originally started with the Richmond Fourths and eventually worked his way up to the seniors. He was a member of the Reserves’ 1966 Premiership side and their Leading Goalkicker in 1967. In 1968, he crossed to Fitzroy where he spent one season before transferring to Sandringham where he played between 1969 and 1973. He crossed to Dandenong in 1974 and then played in the Eastern District League. He eventually finished his career with Balmain in New South Wales. In total, he played approximately 377 games with eight different clubs. After retiring as a player, he served as President of the Balmain Football Club in 1987 and 1988. Bill’s son played with VFA club Prahran.
