BIOGRAPHY
Brent Hartigan is the son of Dean Hartigan former Essendon player and played originally with Tullamarine before moving to the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup , where he was the 2003 Best and Fairest winner and was selected in the 2003 TAC Cup Team of the year. Richmond drafted Brent , a small defender , with pick 70 in the 2003 AFL National Draft. Brent played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 1, 2004 against Collingwood. Brent performed very well in his first season playing 19 senior games and was a Rising Star nomination from Round 22 against the Sydney Swans. Brent was unable to sustain that form playing 8 senior games in 2005, 7 senior games in 2006 and 1 senior game in 2007. Brent was delisted by Richmond at the end of 2007.
