BIOGRAPHY
Craig was a rugged, attacking full-back who joined the Richmond U/19 team from Ivanhoe Grammar in 1979. He had a good turn of speed and was always prepared to back his judgement. He spent five seasons at Richmond and was a member of the 1980 Under/19 Premiership side. He then crossed to Norwood in 1984 and played in a Premiership side in his first year. He has been a very successful player at Norwood and during the 1995 season, played his 250th senior game. He was awarded Life Membership of the Norwood Football Club in 1994. Craig is the younger brother of Neil Balme.
