BIOGRAPHY
Cyril was a full-back. He was a fine mark and good kick. He played his early football with Preston and Northcote, before moving to Geelong’s Association team. He played with Geelong between 1924 and 1926 before moving to Richmond where he was a member of the 1927 Grand Final side. He then played with South Melbourne for two seasons before retiring. He also played the Senior XI District Cricket with Northcote between 1926 and 1934 and was a medium pace bowler and handy middle-order batsman. He scored 1127 runs and took 27 wickets. His highest score was 121 not out and his best bowling performance was 7 wickets. Cyril died in 1949. His son, Cyril Junior, played 184 senior games with Northcote in the VFA.
