BIOGRAPHY
Frank was a full-forward who was recruited from Nathalia. He looked like becoming a champion until a serious knee injury cut short his VFL career. At the completion of Round 7, 1946, Frank led the VFL Senior Goalkicking list, which included 5 goals or more six times. His highest individual goal tally at Richmond was 13 for the Reserves against North Melbourne in 1947. He kicked 7 for the Seniors against Collingwood in Round 5 of 1946, on their champion full-back Jack Regan who was known by many experts as the “Prince of fullbacks”. The early part of his VFL career was interrupted due to serving in the R.A.A.F during World War Two. He is the father of Francis Bourke and grandfather of David Bourke.
