BIOGRAPHY
Gavin was a rover and wingman. He only spent two seasons at Richmond before embarking on a successful country career with Rutherglen, Hamilton and Cavendish. Away from football, he devoted his time to study and he attained the following Honours:- Bachelor of Education from Melbourne University; Master of Education at Manitoba University; Canada, and a Doctorate in Psychology at Indiana University. Gavin was a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the Gippsland University until his death in 1992.
