BIOGRAPHY
Gerry was a wingman and rover. He was a clever player who possessed very good ball skills. In 1952 he left Richmond and went to Mordialloc, where he played in their premiership side. He then returned to Richmond in the pre season of 1953. He worked his way up to the seniors from Richmond’s Thirds, playing one senior game as a reserve against St.Kilda in Round 4 of 1953. Not long after, he was transferred to Oakleigh the day before transfers closed, where he played between 1953 and 1955. He then moved to Eastlake as playing-coach for three seasons. He led that club to one Premiership, as well as representing the ACT League three years running. Gerry also captained the combined side once. Gerry died on Dec 17 2017.
