BIOGRAPHY
Ian was a ruckman. He was one of the all times greats at the Springvale club where he won four Best and Fairest awards and played in four Premiership sides. He was a very fair tap ruckman, who was a strong mark and long drop kick. He won the Federal League Best and Fairest in 1960 and lost on a count-back in 1963. Whilst at Richmond, he was selected in the VFL Seconds’ Representative side in 1958. His nine senior games were played consecutively in the last five rounds of 1958 and the first four in 1959. Ian now lives in Cheltenham.
