BIOGRAPHY
Jamie was a back-pocket and half-back-flanker. He was originally recruited from the combined Woodville-West Torrens team. He spent two seasons with their senior team and was a member of their 1993 Premiership side. Upon joining Richmond he became a permanent fixture in defence, displaying the poise of a veteran. He did not get flustered in a tight or tense situation. He was a good, strong mark, kicked well to position and used his strength well to win best position in a contest. He was also a very courageous player who was not afraid to put his body in and back his judgement when the going got tough. He rounded off a fine debut year when he tied with Matthew Rogers for the club's Best First Year Player award in 1994. In 1995 he played very consistent football and was rarely beaten. Jamie was a member of Richmond's 1995 Finals team. In 1996 he continued good form earning himself selection in the South Australian side. He died in 2003.
