BIOGRAPHY
John was a pacy player and a good team man who played in several positions including the wing and across the half-forward line. He spent three seasons with Richmond and was a member of the Reserves 1966 Premiership side before moving to the country. In between stints with Richmond he played with Sandringham, where he was selected to represent the VFA in 1964. Upon transferring to the Sunraysia League he immediately established himself as one of that competition's finest players. John's career totalled 23 years, 450 games and approximately 600 goals. He is the son of Maurie Sheahan and now lives in Mildura.
