BIOGRAPHY
Ken was a rover and forward-pocket who kicked 106 goals in one season with Melbourne High School prior to joining Richmond. A talented player who was dangerous near goal, his highest individual goal tally with Richmond was 7 versus Footscray in Round 1 of 1949. Ken also kicked 5 goals in his first full senior game against Essendon in the last round of 1946. He spent 20 of his 58 senior games on the reserves bench. After six seasons at Richmond he crossed to Melbourne for three seasons before moving to Ringwood as playing coach. Ringwood won three successive Premierships under Ken's guidance. Away from football, Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree. His brother Alec Albiston platted 170 games and kicked 383 goals for Hawthorn between 1936 and 1949 as well as playing seven games with North Melbourne in 1950. A second brother, Harold, played one game with Collingwood in 1935 and 62 with Hawthorn between 1936 and 1940.
