Rules (1983)
Players are aged between 9 and 11.
Teams are 15-a -side, 5 interchange players coming on at half-time.
There are no 'followers' , to allow all players a chance to ruck and rove.
Umpire selected two players of similar height to contest ball-ups.
No boundary throw-ins. If ball crosses boundary line off the boot a kick is awarded to opposing side. If ball crosses boundary line off hands, umpire brings the ball 10m in and throws it up.
Players can only bounce the ball once and then must dispose of it.
A mark is awarded regardless of distance the ball has travelled.
Team that finishes on top of 1983 season will be 'Champion Club'
Series of Knockout Finals over 4 weeks, with Grand Final at half-time of Prelim Final at VFL Park.
(Teams for Knockout Finals will be chosen from boys who have represented the sponsor club through the season. ONe boy is chosen from each team each week).
