BIOGRAPHY
Michael was a well-built utility player who gave Richmond solid service. He started his career with Essendon in 1979 and spent eight seasons there before moving to Punt Road. Whilst at Richmond he played mainly in defence, usually at full-back where he used his strength and spoiling tactics to wear down opponents. Michael returned to Essendon for part of the 1990 season and in 1991 he played in the Amateurs. Away from football, he runs a Landscape gardening and indoor plant distributing business.
