BIOGRAPHY
Neil played in the back-pocket and ruck at Richmond. Originally from Benalla, he spent four seasons with Richmond and captained the Reserves in their undefeated Premiership year of 1966. After leaving Richmond, he had brief stints with South Melbourne and Sandringham. He retired from football at a young age to concentrate on his business career and served on the Richmond Committee between 1972 and 1978 and was Deputy President for a short time. He was a Victorian State Selector in 1978 and 1979, and joined the VFL Tribunal. Away from football Neil holds a law degree. His son, Peter, currently plays in the Victorian State Football League’s Under/18 Competition. He also played with the Richmond Reserves during 1995.
