BIOGRAPHY
Nick is a utility player who can fill a variety of positions. Now in his fifth season at Richmond, he has started to fulfil his potential. He reads the play very well, has plenty of courage and is a fine team player. He also has the knack of being able to find space for himself. A pacey long kicking player, he was originally recruited from North Gambier via Glenelg Thirds. In 1990, as a 16 year-old he won the Western Border Leagues’ “Rookie of The Year Award” as well as being the only country player to be selected in South Australia’s Teal Cup Squad that year. He also represented South Australia in the Under/13 Schoolboys side.
In 1994, he developed into a goal sneak half-forward whose trade mark is to snap seemingly impossible goals. He gained selection in the South Australian State of Origin team in 1995. He was Richmond’s Top Goalkicker in 1995 despite missing two games through suspension. Nick’s best efforts included 6 against North Melbourne in Round 4 and 5 against Brisbane in Round 20. Away from football he works as a signwriter.
