BIOGRAPHY
Phillip played most of his senior football on the half-back-flank and in the back-pocket. He was a very determined, straight-ahead type of defender with an unusual kicking style. He kicked the winning goal for Richmond in a rain-soaked game against Collingwood in late-1980. He was a fine all-round athlete who had a good turn of speed. He later spent time with Williamstown and Camberwell before retiring to concentrate on his business career. He now lives in eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
