BIOGRAPHY
Shane was a talented utility who was recruited from North Hobart. He spent a total of five seasons with Richmond; however, his senior career was cut short due to nagging injuries. Although not playing a large number of senior games, he certainly possessed the skill to succeed in VFL football, being a strong mark, long kick, and having good ball skills. He was a member of the 1982 Grand Final side. He returned to his native Tasmania in 1989, after stints with Geelong and Footscray. Shane coached Sandy Bay in 1990 and part of 1991. He also represented Tasmania three times in State of Origin matches. Away from football he worked as a clerk.
