BIOGRAPHY
Simon was a solidly-built utility player who played in several different positions. He was drafted to Richmond in March, 1993, after spending the previous seven seasons at Melbourne. He was one of the few senior list players at Richmond who had senior Finals experiences. His 1993 season was interrupted due to injury problems and he was left off the Richmond list at the end of the 1993 season. He is now in his third seas as player-coach of Echuca. He was selected in the Goulburn Valley League representative side and has twice led Echuca to the Grand Final, unfortunately, losing both. In 1995, Simon tied with former Richmond ruckman Ty ESLER for the Goulburn Valley League’s Best and Fairest award the “Morrison Medal”.
