BIOGRAPHY
Stan was a ruckman who also played centre-half-forward and centre-half-back. A rugged player, he was strong and possessed a good turn of speed. He was a long punt kick and one of the best ruckman in Tasmania during his era. He originally started his career with New Norfolk before crossing to North Hobart where he spent a total of nine seasons and also represented Tasmania three times. He also spent three seasons with Launceston. He joined Richmond in 1929 and was a member of the Grand Final side that year, before returning to Tasmania in 1930. Stan later served as a recruiting officer for Richmond. He was also President of the North Hobart Football Club in the late 1930s.
