BIOGRAPHY
Terry was a half-back-flanker and ruck-rover. Recruited from Tyntynder he joined the Richmond Thirds in 1976 and was their best player in the 1977 Premiership side. Although he took until 1980 to make his senior debut, he quickly established himself as a fine team man who was fearless in his endeavours to win the ball. He won Richmond's Most Determined award in 1981 and also represented Victoria the same year. He later crossed to St. Kilda where he played between 1983 and 1985 before rejoining Richmond in 1986. He then played with Oakleigh between 1987 and 1992. He was playing-coach of Oakleigh in 1990 and 1991 and captain in 1988 and 1989, which also included the 1988 Premiership side. Terry then coached Clayton for four years leading them to the Premiership in his first year, 1993.
