BIOGRAPHY
Thomas played mainly as a rover. His two senior games were in Rounds 8 and 9 of 1931 against Hawthorn and Fitzroy. He played his last game of football at the age of 43, after a career that spanned 25 years, mostly spent with Nar Nar Goon. He played briefly with both St.Kilda and Richmond before returning to the country. He died in 1981. He was the father of Jack Cunningham who played 17 games with Hawthorn between 1961 and 1963 and was a member of their first Premiership side in 1961. Jack’s son, John, played with Geelong. Thomas’s brother, Daniel, played one game with Melbourne in 1932.
