BIOGRAPHY
Trent was a talented, left-footed rover and wingman who collected numerous possessions each game. He was a very good foot pass and had a great turn of speed. He was recruited from Tasmanian club Sandy Bay to Richmond's Under 19s in 1987. He was a member of Tasmania's Teal Cup side in 1986 and went on to earn selection in the All Australian team. Trent also represented Tasmania twice in State of Origin matches. He ran second in Richmond's Best and Fairest in 1990, only to be drafted to the West Coast Eagles at the end of the 1991 season. Trent only played four games with the Eagles although he did play in East Fremantle's 1992 Premiership team. He was de-listed by West Coast at the end of the 1993 season and completed the 1994 pre-season with St Kilda. Trent was then drafted by North Melbourne and resurrected his career. He was a very handy player with North, using his pace to shark the ball off packs and create scoring opportunities.
