BIOGRAPHY
Trevor was a centreman and half-forward. A talented player, he was pacy and kicked well with either foot. He left Richmond prior to a golden era in the club’s history. Melbourne and Richmond fought a battle for his services before he eventually became a Richmond player. He was a member of the Reserves’ 1966 Premiership side. After leaving Richmond he crossed to Old Xaverians where he represented the Victorian Amateurs six times. Trevor died in June, 1996. His son, Andrew GOWERS, was a member of Hawthorn’s 1991 Premiership side and played with the Brisbane Bears, before later becoming President of the Hawthorn Football Club.
